Vietnam evisa, good for 90 days travel with single or multiple entries
Vietnam evisa (electronic visa) is one of several visa forms offered by the Vietnam Immigration Department. It was first introduced in February 2017 and is serving the travel needs of citizens of all countries now.
Together with the Vietnam visa on arrival and traditional visa application at the Vietnam Embassy, the Vietnam e-visa is another way for foreigners getting entry permit into Vietnam. It is a simple, entirely online process which can be done within 3 - 5 working days. The 90 days validity of an e-visa would not be too long, but it could satisfy the tourists who choose Vietnam as a destination after a long pandemic.
We would list everything that a tourist needs to know about the Vietnam e-visa.
What is a Vietnam evisa?
Vietnam evisa (electronic visa) was officially launched in February 2017 by the Vietnam Immigration Department. This is the most suitable visa type for those who wish to travel to Vietnam for a short term (less than 90 days, single or multiple entries). The e-visa Vietnam is available to citizens of all countries, applicable for air entry, land border crossings or travel by cruise ship.
Vietnam evisa is issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department after a 3-5 working days process. The processing fee for an evisa is 25 USD (single entry) or 50 USD (multiple entry), and is non-refundable if the visa is not approved. It is a complete visa granted to tourists before they travel to Vietnam. Except for the processing fee of 25 USD (or 50 USD), they don't have to pay any extra fee.
Why choose an e-visa Vietnam?
- Simple process: You just need to prepare a passport front page photo and a recent portrait along with a valid credit card that is enabled to conduct online payment, a wifi connected computer or smartphone. That is all for a 90 days single or multiple entry evisa application;
- Save your time: 3 - 5 working days after submitting a successful evisa application, you will receive an email notifying you of the evisa result. Sometimes it takes longer, but you can always track the process through a link given by the Vietnam Immigration Department. If the evisa cannot be completed on time, you may contact the hotline for assistance or apply for an urgent/emergency evisa at the last minute to avoid missing your trip (learn more about
urgent evisa for Vietnam).
- Save your money: Vietnam evisa would cost 25 USD only and no stamping fee at the entry ports is required.

The common mistakes may happen to evisa
You must fill in the information correctly and review the form again before submission. If you entered information incorrectly your e-visa will be issued with unmatching information and those may make your boarding declined at departure ports. The common mistakes may happen to Vietnam e-visa application are listed below:
- Upload a passport photo and portrait files by mistake;
- The photos are too blur or some parts of photo are hidden;
- Input data that does not match the information on the passport details;
- The entered data contains spelling mistake or wrong number
(passport number, date of birth...);
- Select the entry ports incorrectly (some people select Ho Chi Minh City Seaport instead of Ho Chi Minh City Airport);
- The parents share a visa with their children even they have their own passport;
- Make an e-visa application when the departure time is coming closely and the visa
finally doesn't complete on time.
If you make one of these mitakes, your visa application may take longer
time to edit and re-submit, or even being refused. It is a huge problem if you could not get on the plane as the evisa contains errors/
mistakes; or the visa application keeps showing "in processing"
status.
In this case, you may need our help to clear the pending status or arrange an urgent evisa
within 1 working day or 4 working hours to save your trip at the
last minutes.
