My wife and i plan to travel by train from China to Vietnam in April 2012, go to Hanoi, spend a few days, then go by train to HCM City, then by bus to Phnom Penh. Can we purchase visas at the Chinese border, or do we have to purchase them on line before? Since we arent sure of the exact day we will enter Vietnam, is it ok to put in expected dates of arrival and departure? Thank you.

Answer

Dear Jerry

You need to obtain your visa beforehand in order to enter Vietnam by train from China. We suggest that you apply for your visa at a Vietnamese embassy in China below:

Please note that Vietnam visa upon arrival works for air travel only.

Hope that helps!

Testimonials

I contacted them regarding my 3 months tourist visa and I immediately get the answer from the agent, Mr Alex. What I found amazing was the quickness which Alex responded to my inquiries. All of this for the lowest price, too. I would highly recommend Vietnam visa booking's service...
