Can I purchase a visa upon arrival at the Vietnam International Airport?

Dear Richard,

Thank you for your question!

We would like to inform that you can NOT apply for your visa upon arrival directly at Vietnam International Airport. You must apply for Vietnam visa beforehand and you can not get on board without Vietnam visa or visa approval letter.

In order to apply for visa to Vietnam, please do as following steps:

- Check your visa requirement to know if your nationality is required Vietnam visa or not.
There are a few countries which have Vietnam visa exemption: Citizens of Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia and Laos holding valid ordinary passports are exempt from visa requirements and are allowed to stay for not more than 30 days; Philippines is allowed to stay for not more than 21 days; Brunei is allowed to stay for not more than 14 days.
Citizens of Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Japan, South Korea and Russia holding different kinds of passports are exempt from visa requirements and are allowed to stay for not more than 15 days.

- Settle the payment (service fee) as per instructions

- Receive your visa approval letter after 1 working day (urgent service), and 2 working days (normal service) via email

- You print the letter out and bring it together with your photos + passport to the arrival airport in Vietnam, pay stamping fee according to the rate regulated by the Government and pick up your visa there.
